We've unofficially attached a director to the project now. He's pretty excited, as are we. he 'gets it' and has a good vision and plan for the project. He has done a couple films prior to this and has another tentativlly set up for next year.
In an ideal world we would shoot this in November - perhaps in Michigan where the tax incentive plan is a huge benefit to filmmaking. This means you get a large (up to 40%) tax credit toward your production, essentially getting 40% back in rebates, in exchange you shoot in Michigan, hire some locals and spend money in the state of Michigan.
We have submitted a slightly polished draft of the script - based on some director thoughts - which were basically to ease the difficulty and expense of one particular scene in the script which, admittedly, was very difficult and expensive.
Hopefully we will be going after financers now - so sit back and wait for your own Horrorscope! Afterall, don't you want to know how you're gonna die...?
