HORRORSCOPE has officially made the rounds in Hollywood, with some success. While it is not officially set-up, we have a potential director, producer and a supposedly interested (and capable) financer involved. These are all positive steps forward.
We have also had a round of meetings with about ten buyers who liked it enough (although not enough to buy) to want to meet the writers. Those meetings went pretty well and idseas were pitched. Some were received well, others not so much. That's about par for the course.
We are in the midst of a potential project with a production company and have turned in a treatment based on a specific project they are looking to produce. The idea is to get it in good enough shape to take it to a studio (Screen Gems, I think) where they will want to finance the project from development to script to production.
As for HORRORSCOPE, we have very strong interest from an Award-Winning director. A financer has expressed interest and we have pottential producers on board. it is a slow moving train but progres is being made. It seems like the right people understand this project and it's no-brainer teen-horror franchise business model.
Will update again soon, but things are looking good so far. of course, that can all fall apart just as quickly in this business.
